super cute but sizing is a little off

The style and the feel of these boots are wonderful. I really love how they look and they are very comfortable.
I don't know if it's a thing with boots where they assume you are going to wear thick socks and purposely make the shoes bigger than regular size because this is not the first time boot sizes have been too big for me. I am usually a size 7 but when I compare the shoes to my other size 7, they look about 1 size larger than the other shoes. I should have ordered at least a half a size down. I'll keep these because though they are big, they don't make me look like I have clown feet.
As for calf size, it has a band at the top to adjust to your calf size. I don't have skinny calves... they are normal calves I guess... but there is still a good amount of wiggle room that's comfortable. Overall, I'm happy with these boots, just wish I had known about the sizing.

Cute boots!

I love these boots. The color of these boots are actually much better in person than it is in the picture. In the picture, they have a more reddish tone than they actually do in person. In person they are a really beautiful somewhat darker brown. I had to take away one star purely because they are a little tight around the leg. However, I can still wear them with a nice pair of skinny jeans so I am happy with them. Also, other than the somewhat snug fit around the leg, they are very comfortable. Also, for those that do not like shoes that are very loud when they walk, these are perfect. Many boots make that loud clomp when walking which is bad for me since I often have to walk around quiet university buildings. These do make some sound but not much at all. I recommend these to anyone looking for a cute pair of brown leather boots.

No need to break these in - comfort right from the start and a little xtra room in the calf too.
