Glorious riding boots!

I just purchased these boots in the saddle color. They are fantastic! They are a beautiful camel color - the picture is pretty accurate as far as color goes. They are comfy and look great over skinny jeans. I've gotten tons of compliments. I think they run a little big and there is quite a bit of room in the calf, but I think that looks good with jeans. They are expensive, but Frye boots are the best and this is such a classic style!

Boot beautiful, service...non-existent.

This boot looks even better on than in the picture. I got the unusual gray, and at 6 feet with a REAL size 11 foot, they slid on perfectly from the first. I never noticed that my right calf was a wee bit larger than my left, but they fit easily over leggings and skinny jeans. On a business trip, I was walking through the trendy Hollywood Sunset shopping district and I had a shop owner come out to compliment my outfit and another tell me she noticed the boots while I was across the street. That being said, within a month the heels were pretty run down (although I used them mostly for performances in a country band and not really the hard walk that would cause this) I had seen this in a previous review, and was willing to take the chance. I'll put heels on them until the cows come home, but what I didn't expect was for the right pull tab to rip halfway off. I've been babying them for several months, debating on letting the shoemaker do an obvious stitch job. (Shoemakers are hard to find and =whew-expensive!) I contacted the seller immediately by email through Amazon as there was only one more 11 in stock. Never heard anything, and that 11 is now gone. The request was specific. I would purchase the new pair but wanted to be sure I'd be reimbursed for the one's being returned. They were a good price for Fryes, but they weren't cheap :-(

Great casual FLAT boot

I ordered the gray in in my usual size 8, and wish I had ordered a 7.5 just to compare. If you have free returns, order both to compare. I am 5'6 and 125lbs, size 4, normal/thin build and they hit me right below the bend in my knee. I have small calves and ankles and do feel like I am swimming a bit in these boots, but they are great with warm socks and jeans/leggings. I think the foot length may have been too short in the smaller size, but if you are wanting to wear thin tights or no socks I would try both sizes. Sadly I won't be wearing them with a skirt or dress due to the bucket effect on me. (I do own the frye campus boot in banana for dresses and they are fabulous!)
I love the gray leather and the tall boot look...I have polled my friends incessantly, and even though I think they make my feet look big (being so flat and kinda wide in the ankle area) they all say they look great! I truly did want a flat boot to chase my kids around all day in style (9,7,5yr olds) and they are perfect. Instead of pulling on my bulky (but loved) uggs, these are my new go to, cute, comfy, and super stylish boot!
