when purchasing this product I was extremely shocked at the price. when I recieved them I tried them on and "WoW" the fit was excellent. the shoe quality is excellent.

I love these boots! I needed something that was well made, comfortable, and fit a larger calf size. These, so far, have come through in every way. They are very sharp looking, and the elastic contrast in the back actually, unexpectedly, makes my calf look more narrow, slimming and tapering very nicely. Some boots give a person the "cankle" look regardless of how thin the person is, I happen to be very stout with muscular calves and these even make me look slim there.

When I received these boots, I was concerned because they were labeled "wide calf", and they are not described as wide calf in the description. However, I measured them, and they are (roughly) 15.5 inches around, as described on the product page. While I would have preferred a narrower calf, they will be okay to wear over jeans or leggings. The straps around the back of the ankle and the top of the calf are unfortunately purely decorative and can't be tightened.
I normally wear an 8.5 or a 9, and I found that the 8.5 was comfortably roomy. The cognac color is a nice, medium brown with warm undertones. The leather is a good quality for the price, lined with soft fabric, and the inside sole is well padded and comfortable. The outer sole has good traction and won't slip on smooth floors.
